We're Austin Marshall and Brittany Marshall. We built XPLRE — a 2021 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 gas, 170" wheelbase, high roof — to live in, not to photograph.
Austin designed the systems. He used to design systems at SpaceX. Brittany designed the interior: Roman clay, wood, and arches.
Electrical is an EcoFlow Independence Kit (10kWh) we paid about $15k for. Heat is a Rixen's Comfort Hot — this is a gas van, not a diesel heater. The shell uses our real insulation stack; Kilmat is sound deadening, not a thermal layer. You'll see our Yorkie mix, tuxedo kitten, and grey cat in the photos.
